Mount Grief is a lone mountain in the middle of the Quickwind Plains. Aside from its location, that mountain's most notable characteristic is the ruined castle at its top. Visible even from the base, it's said to have been built long ago by a fearless King atop a temple to the old gods. However, that castle is in fact just the top of the iceberg, and the inside of the mountain is filled by the gigantic ruin of the old temple, now tomb of that king, the graveyard.
The mountain takes its names from the gloomy atmosphere surrounding it, which, according to legends, is due to the great display of sorrow once dedicated to the dead King by his people. However, that King never truly died and kept on guarding the graveyard under the Mountain as the Lich King, until he was slain by a group of Volunteer Soldiers.
Geography[]
Mountain Grief is a mountain standing tall and alone in the quickwind plains.
History[]
Inhabitant[]
As it's in the Quickwind plain, mount Grief is on the frontier between human's and the Alliance of Kings' territory. As such the old castle had become a den of undead in recent years, leading to volunteer soldiers regularly visiting the place. After the fall of Alterna and its subsequent reconquest, the place became an advance base for the southern expedition, before being taken by volunteer soldiers.
However, those are only the surface inhabitant, and the Graveyard below is in a completely different situation. In fact, as far as we know its only inhabitant for a long time as been the Lich King, except for the occasional explorer.
