Alterna

The Fortress City Alterna (要塞都市オルタナ, Yōsai Toshi Orutana), usually known as Alterna, is the last fortified human settlement north of the Tenryu. Alterna is known as the town of the beginning and the fortress of humanity. It has managed to hold its position due to an alliance with the elves, dwarves, and centaurs.

Central Plaza[]

Tenboro Tower is located in the middle of the central plaza. It is the margrave Garlan Vedoy's home. There was a bell in Alterna that chimed once every two hours. Once ar 6:00 in the morning, twice ar 8:00, three times at 10:00 and so on.

Yorozu Deposit Company[]

A warehouse looking building that is south of the marketplace.
The company exchanges money for free, holds deposited items, and appraises the worth of items. Money deposits have a fee of 1/100th of the total, and items a fee of 1/50th their appraised value.
In a situation that the deceased had money in the deposit. Only they themself would normally be able to withdraw it, but in the event of death, it is possible for someone else to do so by going through the proper procedures. Specifically, they would have to go through the Volunteer Soldier Corps office to acquire a death certificate and a certificate granting them power of attorney, both issued by the margrave. On confirmation of those documents the company will return the deceased’s assets to his legal representative.

Sherry's Tavern[]

A pub where Volunteer soldiers and trainees like to hang out.
The cost for one beer cost four copper. While discounted to three copper for badge holders.

West Town[]

The poorer side of town. A dangerous place.

Thieves' Guild, a rundown wooden building. However in the anime, it is displayed as a giant tree.
Dread Knight's Guild, underground
Cheap lodging for Trainee Soldiers. Costs 10 copper pieces a room and each room can house 4 people. Rooms are free once Trainee's get their Volunteer badges.
Tattan's Bakery just outside of West Town.

North District[]

The Hunter's Guild is located near the North Gate. It is a building that is surrounded by a wooden fence.

East Town[]

The Mage's Guild is located in East Town and is in an elegant mansion with white walls.
The high end residential area of Alterna.

Alterna Frontier Army[]

Led by General Rasentra
Can field at least 2,550 troops including: 1,500 warriors, 400 paladins, 200 dread knights, 100 hunters, 50 priests, and 300 cavalry.
Red Moon headquarters
- A two-story stone building that flies a flag with a red crescent moon on a white field on it.
- Brittany is currently the commander of the Red Moon Volunteer army.
